About Me

God has called me to work as an Education Consultant with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in Nigeria. Samson Makhado, the director of ACSI South Africa once said that Christian Education in North America has deep roots, but the leaves are beginning to turn brown while Christian Education in Africa has green flourishing leaves, but the roots are not deep.  Through partnering with ACSI Nigeria, God has called me to build mutual relationships with educators in Nigeria to encourage Christian Education worldwide.

God has equipped me for this position through teaching in Sierra Leone and Nigeria over the past three years. These experiences have given me a glimpse into the day to day realities of being a teacher in a West African classroom.  It has also opened my eyes to the power that God has given us as educators to shape the worldview of our students, so they might go out to serve God and others through the various paths that God calls them to.

The mission of ACSI is to enable Christian educators and schools to effectively prepare students for life.  My role within ACSI will be to build mutual relationships with Christian educators to encourage one another and to grow in our understanding of what Christ-centered education means in a Nigerian context.  I will work closely with my Nigerian colleagues to train teachers and administrators to integrate a Biblical worldview into the Nigerian curriculum.  I will also have the opportunity to participate in and learn from African and worldwide discussions of Christian education.  It is my desire to see God use this opportunity to shape the worldview of the next generation of leaders in Nigeria so that every square inch of their life reflects Christ.
